Summit Thrift & Treasure accepting clothing and shoes donations at Breckenridge location only during COVID pandemic.

In efforts to stop the spread of germs, we are only accepting  donations of clothing and shoes during this time.  Any donations left outside the doors will be thrown away and is a labor-intensive process that will hinder FIRC’s ability to focus on the needs at hand.

These emergency assistance and parenting programs would not be possible without the support of your donations.  Everything from kitchen supplies to clothing donations is appreciated. 2 BAG LIMIT

Due to staffing and space limitations, Summit Thrift & Treasure is unable to process large donations. Please be considerate and ask our staff if you have more than two bags/ boxes to donate at one time. Thank you for your understanding!

DILLON DONATION HOURS

WE ARE TEMPORARILY NOT ACCEPTING DONATIONS AT OUR LOCATION.

DILLON DROP OFF LOCATION

Summit Thrift & Treasure’s Dillon thrift store location is at 340 Fiedler Ave. Dillon, Co 80435. Please use the door on the east side of the building facing Colorado Mountain College for thrift store to donate and drop off items.

Sorry, we cannot accept thrift donations outside of these hours. Drop-offs left outside of these hours is considered dumping, offenders will be fined.

BRECKENRIDGE DONATION HOURS

Thursdays from 1-5 pm, and Fridays from 11 am-3 pm.

BRECKENRIDGE DROP OFF LOCATION:

Summit Thrift & Treasure’s Breckenridge thrift store location is at 1745 Airport Road Breckenridge, CO 80424. Please use the door around the back on the west side of the building to assist with ease for thrift store donation drop-offs.

DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF CLOTHING AND SHOES

KITCHEN SUPPLIES

Dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, gently used pots and pans, blenders, toasters, coffee makers, etc.

CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES

Gently used shirts, pants, shoes, winter gear, jackets, watches, jewelry, belts, etc.

SMALL ELECTRONICS

Working vacuums, lamps, etc.

ENTERTAINMENT AND TOYS

Books, CDs, DVDs, board games, children's toys, stuffed animals, etc.

SPORTING EQUIPMENT

Basketballs, soccer balls, cleats, hockey sticks, etc. We are unable to accept skis/snowboards/skateboards/roller skates or ski/snowboard boots due to liability.

LINENS AND HOUSEWARES

Bedding, decorative pillows, blankets, towels, suitcases, tools, small area rugs, etc.

Summit Thrift & Treasure DOES NOT ACCEPT the following items:

ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE RESOLD

We do not accept clothes, blankets, or towels with stains or tears. Items that don't work or are missing pieces. Things that are worn out and not worthy of someone else purchasing.

TELEVISIONS, COMPUTERS AND FURNITURE

We do not accept televisions, computers, printers and other computer accessories or furniture.

PAINTS AND AUTOMOTIVE

Paints/ chemicals, painting supplies, garden hose, tires or propane grills.

ENCYCLOPEDIAS AND TEXT BOOKS

We do not accept reference and text books.

GARAGE SALE LEFTOVERS

We do not accept garage sale leftovers. We cannot handle large loads or items that people are not interested in purchasing.

CAR SEATS, CRIBS & MATTRESSES

The state does not allow us to sell car seats, cribs and mattresses because of the potential risk to future buyers.

SPORTING GOODS

We are unable to accept skis/snowboards/skateboards/roller skates or ski/snowboard boots due to liability.

Tax Deductible

Since Summit Thrift and Treasure is a nonprofit 501(c)3 store owned by FIRC; Items donated are tax-deductible. Ask our staff for tax donation forms when you complete your donation. The IRS states it is the donor’s responsibility to determine the value of the gift.

Other Resources for Donating Used Goods

We have a variety of community partners to help you with your donations. Please call ahead to confirm their hours and donation policies.

  • Furniture: Habitat for Humanity’s Restore on Blue River Parkway in Silverthorne. You can reach them at 970-367-5127. They are open Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for furniture donations.
  • Sporting Goods (such as ski and snowboard gear): Recycle Sport in Frisco 970-668-5150 is open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and receives sporting goods and used ski gear.
